Riverwood Wednesday May 3nd 8:30pm

*** IT’S A GO! ***

The Riverwood Conservancy, Earthshine Astronomy and Space Science Organization and the Mississauga Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada present the CITY STAR PARTY at the RIVERWOOD CONSERVATORY at 8:30 p.m. on WEDNESDAY MAY 3.

Moon - phone adapterJupiter shines brilliantly near the Moon tonight, so be sure to get a look! We should get a good look at some colourful double stars. Use your phone to get a shot of the crescent Moon through a telescope with one of our phone camera adapters!

Riverwood Tuesday Nov 8th 7:00PM: *** IT’S A GO ***

Weather is good for tonight (Wednesday) so IT’S A GO!  It will be cold, so be sure to bundle up!

Join us at Riverwood for a night of free public viewing through our telescopes! This is our last public event of the year, so be sure not to miss out!

Moon - phone adapterSaturn and Mars are low in the Southern skies, near the end of their visit this year, so be sure to see them before they go! We should get a good look at some colourful double stars. Use your phone to get a shot of the crescent Moon through a telescope with one of our phone camera adapters!

We’ll start when it gets dark at 7:00PM.

Riverwood Tuesday Oct 11th 7:00PM: ** GO ** Mars, Saturn, and the Moon

Join us at Riverwood for a night of free public viewing through our telescopes!

Weather is looking good, so we are GO!

You might get to see a low pass of the ISS (the International Space Station), starting  at 9:08PM.

We’ll start when it gets dark at 8:30PM. The event is weather permitting (for obvious reasons) so check back here for a GO/NO GO on Tuesday afternoon.

Riverwood Tues May 17th 9:00PM *** IT’S A GO ***

IT’S A GO – weather looks good! It should be somewhat chilly at ~ 9 degrees, so dress warmly.
