Public Star Parties
In conjunction with the Riverwood Conservancy, Earthshine Astronomy, and Space Science Organization, members bring their telescopes to Riverwood on a monthly basis (March or April to November). We show the planets, the Moon, and the International Space Station, weather permiting, to members of the public.
Public outreach events such as this give us the opportunity to promote astronomy in general and the RASC specifically. We observe from the grassy area in front of Chappelle House at Riverwood Park, 4300 Riverwood Park Lane, Mississauga, ON L5C 2S7 (Directions)
Why not bring your binoculars, or just come to view through one of our telescopes? Our Star Parties are an opportunity to meet other amateurs, exchange knowledge and get “hands-on” experience with different optical devices.
If you have any questions, please contact Mississauga Centre RASC Public Outreach.
